Welcome to Closet Talk my new blog, AND Happy New Year!

Rules of the contest
Hi – I’m Jean M Kelley, author of Dress like a Million from Goodwill.

Until Valentine’s Day I’m going to shop for clothes ONLY at Goodwill. Jewelry and shoes I may buy elsewhere but when it comes to textiles, I’m shopping only at Goodwill and I need some friends to join me. Will you take the challenge with me?

All you have to do is:
1) Buy clothing at ONLY Goodwill stores until Valentines Day.
2) Post selfies or pictures of your new pieces and document your Goodwill shopping trips using the hashtag #goodwillchallenge2018 on Instagram, Facebook or Twitter
3) Tag @dresslikeamillionfromgoodwill in your post
4) For every picture posted, you’ll be entered to win the prize described, below.

The prize is twofold. On a date agreed upon by both of us you get:

A private wardrobe consultation with an author and image consultant, at Goodwill, a 300.00 value. You guessed it. Me. Instead of buying your first outfit, I’ll do better than that. You will receive a $50 Goodwill gift card to spend as you begin to build your New Look.

Also, the day of your shopping trip the grand prize-winner and I will lunch at Stonehorse in Tulsa or your favorite community restaurant if you live McAlister, Owasso, Joplin, Carthage, Glenpool, Broken Arrow, Claremore, or Bartlesville.

  1. Going to see what I find in Columbia Missouri. Last week I found a suede jacket with zip out lining for $6.00. It was in excellent condition. A size too small for me. Darn. Not giving up and trying to get there once a week to see what is new.

    1. Susan, Thank you for your post. I’m tickled pink that you are in the #goodwillchallenge 2018 I’m glad you brought up visiting the store in Columbia, Missouri once a week. Maybe you can find out when the truck comes with new arrivals of clothing and get there the next day! jk

  2. Hi Jean,
It was so very nice to meet you yesterday at Goodwill! I bought your book & went right home & read it? I’m going to take the challenge & “get my Goodwill on”.
