Deal of the Week.

Goodwill SW Blvd.
Donald Pliner shoes for 16.99.

Welcome~~

Some of you are passionate about Goodwill and some of you are passionate about thrift in general.

As many of you know, I’m on the board of Goodwill Tulsa and I’m passionate about the thousands of people we help with training and employment every year. We placed 982 people in the community and paid 14.4 million in wages to employees in 2017. I hope to bring in new shoppers all over the US and continue to provide meaningful content to people who have shopped at GW for a long time.

As of today about half of my textiles are from Goodwill but when it comes to toothpaste, nail polish, serving pieces, eyeshadow,  soaps, seasonal plates and bowls, toilet cleaner, make up brushes, lipgloss, hair clips, candles, shampoo, conditioner, vases for garden flowers, combs and brushes, party favors for kids and adults, gift bags, ribbon, candy, party supplies, plastic bowls and serving pieces for pot luck dinners, plastic table cloths, corn chips, sunflower seeds, chili-lime peanuts, trail mix, veggie chips, Diet Coke/ Pepsi, lawn supplies, flower seeds, seasonal flip-flops, ….yada…..yada, I pick up at Dollar Tree. <— As an author of five books, I can tell you this is the longest sentence I’ve ever written.

Anyhow, I’m so glad you came to visit. Thank you. I want to create a community of like-minded thrifters; a forum where we can share opinions plus the deals we are tickled to get, and the price we paid. Have you had the experience of excitedly telling a non-thrifter about your deal of the week? “Look what I found! I bought these shoes for 16.99.” Then you get the blank stare, as if to say, “So?” That won’t happen here. This is a place of support and a place of fun.

The oh-so-cool shoes in the photo are 16.99. They are DONALD PLINER, I like Pliner. The size said 7 Medium and I wear an 8 ½ narrow. In some shoes I can get by with an 8 medium. I put them on anyway.

The width fit perfectly, they have an up to date block heel, and I wanted them!  They were comfortable for walking and standing. I was ready to buy until I walked by a mirror. RATS! My heel hung over the back of the shoe about ¼ of an inch. Waaaa. <—that’s me whining.

These shoes are going to make someone very happy.

Jean

Fun Fact: Did you know Goodwill had 872,915 retail customers in our district last year?
